Just once,
I want to be
That girl...
The one who
Has plans every weekend,
That guys give a second glance,
That people like...
I know that
She's here,
And I'm happy to
Make a new friend...
But she has more of a life,
Than I do,
And she hasn't even been here
A week.
It's a stupid,
Girly thing to say,
But I want to be that...
I want to be that girl...
I want to be the girl,
Who grabs everyone's attention,
Who can get any guy she wants,
Who gets invited to the parties...
I guess I never will be,
Because I'm not right
For the part...
But it still brings me to tears.
Two: Shes going to leave soon and they will forget about her
Three: Shes french, guys like that and their probably trying to get with her because they think she's a easy catch
Four: Don't be jealous of her
Five: Don't compare yourself to anyone because that causes low self esteem and your good the way you are
You are who you are and there are many of us who appreciate you because of that.
Do you really want to act like someone else just so that you can have as much fame, as much attention as her?
Don't forget, they only appreciate her because she's all so "pretty and wonderful"
But as soon as she lets the façade go the slightest bit, they'll lose interest in her.
In fact, they'll lose interest in her as soon as they find someone better.
They don't like her because she is who she is, they like her because she's new, because she's become a fad.
But you, Ashlynne, we love you for who you are, deep inside.
We don't care if you come from the USA, Canada, England or France.
We don't care if you wear skirts or trousers, t-shirts or suits.
We love your quirks, we love your mannerisms, your personality.
If you started to wear something different, we would compliment.
If you had a hard time, we will help you up.
If you started to cry, we would take out a handkerchief and wipe your face dry.
Trust me when I say this, even if she is adored by all these people, they will let her down at a moment's notice.
But you, we will always be there for you, no matter what.
Is it not better to have a handful of close friends, than a horde of fans who don't really care?
I'm not the kind of person that people would probably want to flirt or have parties with either, but personally, I'm not looking for anyone's approval.
I understand where you're coming from, though. I understand that kind of wanting, because I've felt it countless times.
I know it's going to sound cheesy, but--you can decide "oh, I want to look/be different", and take action on it. But you can also let it go and love yourself for who you are, and you should. You're beautiful in every aspect, Ashley, and you musn't forget that.
Personally, I'd be kind of sad if you changed to be like "that girl". I and many other people love you for who you are.
